am Great Britain's Ellie Downie suffered a sickening fall on her neck - before returning to the Olympic arena to complete the competition.

17-year-old Downie, competing in her first Olympic Games , was competing in the women's gymnastics qualifying round in Rio. She had already safely negotiated her way through the bars and beam, was beginning the floor potion of the competition when she suffered her freak accident.
